Homosexual OCD: the fear of being homosexual
Even these days, it manifests itself
Not all of society is ready to accept homosexuality as just another facet of personality. Unfortunately, veiled or evident, social condemnation exists for people who decide to carry out their romantic life with someone of the same sex. This leads many people who know or think they are homosexual to feel obsessive about being gay.
There's nothing wrong with being homosexual. It is not a behavior to be corrected, much less disease. When total tolerance is practiced on all members of society, or the vast majority of them, this fear will disappear. Just as no one is afraid of being heterosexual because it is accepted as normal, no one will be afraid of being straight because it will also be assimilated as normal.
This article will explore what this condition is about, what treatments are there to eradicate it, its symptoms, and what happens when this fear occurs in adolescence.
