I’M ENVIOUS!
Everyone, at some point in our lives, we’ve been envious.
Whoever says no, it’s 100% sure he’s lying.
However, anyone openly saying that they are envious of a particular person or situation will always be frowned upon and condemned by society, labeling that person the worst thing in the world.
In psychology, envy has this concept “When we talk about envy we refer to a feeling of pain and frustration due to the lack of a good, characteristic, relationship or desired event that we would like to have and another person does possess, seeing this situation as unfair.”
In the Catholic religion, envy is considered one of the seven deadly sins.
There are different types of envy, where they predominate:
- Envy of material goods: People who have a car, own home, expensive clothes, travel, etc. And those who are envious of them would like to have all this.
- Envy by physical appearance: When we want to be like another person, we know or want certain physical attributes that he possesses: flat stomach, skin color, height, etc.
We want to have the same success as the other person or feel that everyone is achieving “what we want,” except us.*Envy for personal accomplishments…
