PERSONAL SECURITY ON THE INTERNET
Digital is in the day-to-day of humanity. However, most people are unaware of cybersecurity and are vulnerable online; here are some ways to protect themselves in a basic way so as not to be within reach of cybercrime or any malware.
1. Passwords: block logins, you must use a unique random password consisting of more than 16 characters for each account, containing uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and characters; it is also suggested to manage passwords in the cloud with applications such as LastPass, OnePass or others (such as LastPass) and these must be changed at least once a year, in addition to the written password, 2-factor authentication (2FA) must also be implemented for all sites that offer it (which often requires an SMS message or a phone code when someone tries to log in from an unknown device).
Logins should be secured by getting a complete list of all the places where you have online accounts.
If the site allows it, you must log out of all open sessions on all devices. This will disable any unauthorized open sessions you may have missed.
If the account is no longer used, deactivate or delete it.
Review the devices connected to the account and remove the devices that are no longer in use.
Take note of the data that is stored in the account.
