Surely you know people who, on occasion, have had pain (headaches, stomach …) or have developed skin rashes that do not seem to be justified by a medical problem.

What can be the origin, then? Science has shown that hiding feelings can, in many cases, be the source of our disturbances.

When you keep it, everything and everyone could take damage

Our mood directly affects our physical state: certain emotions cause discomfort and activate the autonomic and endocrine nervous systems.

Hiding feelings can affect the intestine, stomach, skin …

Or, what is the same, repressing emotions helps our body to somatize them, “transforming” them into disorders that mainly affect organs such as the intestine, stomach, liver, or skin.

Identify the emotions you hide.

Expressing emotion implies being aware of what we are feeling. That is why it is essential to recognize our emotions and not repress them.
