They were There
Romantic Novel Chapter 1
Learning
Activity during spring break was scarce; only administrative staff were on duty to administer the platform for subject enrollment for the upcoming term and to receive students attending supplemental classes with students assigned to social service. After this rest period, the teachers return to campus to start a new period with old and new students.
It was an autumn morning when the cafe across from Law School opened early, as usual, to offer packed breakfasts and lunches for teachers and students of the school year that was beginning. It was a custom of Professor Shayne to go for an express Panna since he enjoyed his morning schedule and gave the first class of the day to retire early to work on the legal cases in which he was involved. As usual, the gentleman approaches the reception table and orders his coffee, but to his surprise, he has not been received by the usual barista he knew. It was a young woman with hair combed in a bun with the feathers in the shape of a cross to tie it. She read a book and heard the client's voice, and she hurried to close it to attend her job.
- Perfect morning; what can I offer you? She asks with a simple smile on her lips.
- An expresso Panna, please — he replies in a gentle but slightly deep voice.
