What does Optimism Mean?
Let’s take a look at an emotion that is required from day to day.
Optimism is an attitude towards life that helps us approach our everyday issues, projects, and situations positively and constructively; this trait increases the feeling that everything will go “well” despite the setbacks and difficulties that can present the situation in particular.
And if it doesn’t go as expected, we think there are always alternatives or better times will come.
One of the origins of a positive or negative view can be innate temperament, character, or personality, as people tend naturally towards one another.
Differences between optimistic and confident people and people waiting for failure begin to form in the first years of life.
Seligman (American psychologist and writer) defines Optimism by how people explain their successes and failures to themselves:
Optimists believe that failures are due to something that can be changed, and when faced with a similar situation again, they can succeed.
On the other hand, pessimists blame themselves for their failures on something they are unable to modify.
