Society is evolving at a breakneck rate, and those who do not adapt to the new scenarios risk losing the place they had so hard-won.
Now more than ever, flexibility is a key factor in personality. Its opposite, rigidity, besides being the visible face of an obsessive personality, prevents people from adapting to the changes generated in their environment, thus becoming increasingly segregated from their social environment.
It is easy to understand that mental and psychological rigidity leads us to an unhappy and tragic life, the most fertile ground for proliferation pathologies.
What are the characteristics of mental and psychological rigidity?

It is of utmost significance to know how to differentiate between a person who has entrenched values and defends them beyond the circumstances they must go through and one who suffers from psychological rigidity.
We can distinguish the latter through the following features:
- Refusal to open up to new perspectives
- Reluctance to change
- Rejection of new perspectives
